Does anybody know if there is someone out there making custom bent hoses of the radiator and heater hose variety? I would like to replace the vapor hose on my WD45 dual fuel carb. Thanks for your help

Old time parts stores could sort thru stock and usually find a hose you could cut to make fit. Last time I walked into a 'modern' auto store and asked the guy looked at me like I was crazy then finally let me look thru the hoses behind the counter myself.
I used to have a Dayco catalog at work that listed truck hoses of common shapes but I lost it many years ago.

I have gone to local Auto Zone in small town and asked to "look behind the counter". When not busy, they agree... I think its a chance for them to learn something also.

Our local NAPA counterman brought out a book with hose pictures in the 1.25 size that I was looking for. It had hoses of every shape with measurements. When I picked 2 he got them from the back and I picked the 1 that would work. Bob

Unfortunately kids these days don't know how to figure anything out unless the computer tells them how to do it. I.E. why do you have to ask me if my 1982 chevy pickup truck, was a gas or diesel, what size gas, 4x4 or not, 1500 or 2500, etc. etc. etc. when I ask you if you have a taillight for it????
Granted there are exceptions to this, some of which reside right here on this forum, and I am proud of them, but they are just that an EXCPETION to the rule.

The darn computer catalogs won't show you any parts if you don't pick all the options--even the ones that don't matter. some systems are more lenient than others, but there are some that need to be obsolete immediately.
picture books are a better tool for finding hoses without a catalog listing. Looking through inventory is a second choice, but some stores only stock top 20 numbers due to space and other inventory limitations. karl f
