Remember Old-Ugly:
The front end is from a John Deere. I am thinking of putting it on Craigslist, but I don't know what tractor it would fit on or what to ask for it. Can someone identify it and give me a ballpark price range to ask for it? Here it is off of the D17: Thanks, Tom |

Thanks Tony. I tried to find pictures online that show the front end on a JD 80 and it does sort of look like that. Here are some other angles on mine, maybe they can help the JD knowledge base decide if that is what it originally came from.

I think it looks like the front axle from an R or a standard 60, 70 or 80
It should be worth some money. It's green!! |

Take the casting number off and call a GOOD dealer they should be able to trace it.
That is not an R axle . Tony

Looks like the pivot area has been modified so it might only fit the yellow tractor now.

Thanks for all the replies. I think the modifications on it would all grind off. There is a chunk welded to the top for the Allis front pivot but the John Deere used the hole under neath it and that hasn't been altered. The original steering arm is still there too they just added one on the other side that also looks like it could be ground off and returned to original. Tom
