They work great for taking dirt and grim off. will also peel any loose paint at the same time. A good sized aladin goes for about 2500.  You might need to filter the water on the inupt hose. Minerals in your water scale up in the heater coils. if you use diesel instead of K! the burners need to be cleaned regualarly.

We got one at the shop and yes, it works extremly well. The last couple have only lasted about five or six years because of hard water. We have a filter, but it doesn't help. After a couple years it starts to loose pressure and leak, not to mention the tips start to get plugged with rust. But it gets used everyday, so it earns its keep.

Hey abbaschild,  look on craigslist, they are all over Denver and Colorado springs Landa is a great brand, best IMHO, a grand to 1500, should get you a good used one, heck I'll even help you get it down there, or part of the way.  Let me know, I am in Denver nearly every weekday!

Another thing to remember, the hot washer will only get you half the way, there is more to being ready for paint than just a hot bath, but, the caked on old grease is the hardest battle.

We use lacquer thinner to wipe down everything before paint. Thats the final step before paint, it gets all the oils left behind. Best to wipe it down twice.
