I got the steering all made and welded up. Had to put the shaft on the other side. I had it all tacked onto the other side and turned the steering wheel and the wheels went the wrong way. HAHA But the way i have it now is much cleaner.

New steering wheel...

Steering shaft bearings and mounts.

Looks great. I love a transplant tractor. Just a question, What are you doing for a rad for cooling for this thing? Do you have enough room up front or mounting something different.

Thanks for the play by play and keep up the great work.Clap

It will be mounted horizontaly with the intels under the grill with it sticking to the front. I will make my weight braket to go around it so you wont even see it. Then i will have a electric fan.

Not much of a update. Been having problems on the farm with stuff. I did get some parts for my A-Pump and i got it clamped on for now. Just alittle teaser...

The pump is off a 5.9 cummins. Its only got 9.5mm plungers, but my pump man tells me i should be able to get 275-300cc out of it. I had the switch the throttle to the other side. More to come... Some day! lol

Interesting project! I didn't know the 5.9 ever came with an A pump? I thought it just had the mighty P. But there is a descent aftermarket for that pump. Keep us posted on this.

Not really any progress. Only thing is that its going to be a 180 instead, bc it would be to hard to fit all the stuff I want to under the d17 or d19 metal. Plus I got all the 180 metal. I will have to redo a couple things but it will be all worth it. Been kinda slow around here working on our other tractors. Plus putting in a different bulk tank.     More progress to come on this 180.

I made it all season this year without breaking anything, not my normal year. LOL . Breaking things is part of pulling so don't get discouraged by some of these posts that are picking at you. I enjoy looking at your build and hope to see the finished product. Just remember be safe while running it.

A little update for ya guys, I got the block all fixed up and ready to go! Got some new bolts for the Mains.   Also bought some new valve springs.

I will have to get ya some more pics of it. Waiting on some assembly lube to get here. Then I will be dropping the crank in along with the sleeves. I have to mark the pistons for valve relief cuts for when I have enough money to buy increased ratio rockers. So its still long way away but its coming along.

Don't worry bout that, bottom tapped and a nice grade 9 washer will put me at the correct length with a few more threads in the block.

Its just a cheap fleet farm engine stand that we modified. here's a couple pics.

the engine is alittle top heavy without the crank in it, but im only 145 pounds and I can move it myself.

Well guy's, long time no update!!! lol 2 years! The tractor is still in progress. Be busy getting married and getting a house for us to live in. Very little money to "play" with anymore. but slowly it is getting built! I got a flywheel figured out for it and machined to fit. The flywheel itself is 1 40 pound chevy steel flywheel. The adapter is made from a old combine flywheel that I cut apart. Turned down to fit the chevy flywheel.

Yes the adapter is cast, but it was the easiest way to make it.

I wanted to do that same thing but couldn't get certified with any cast in flywheel at all. So I had to make mine from a chunk of steel. Don't think that small of diameter hub would have caused any problems.
