interesting question michale. Am curious myself. Both are bosch psb pumps. Both are different part numbers, but wether they just update I don't know. I would have exploded at the fuel shop. You don,t 'lose' fuel pumps; and if you did best you replace it.
tits tyres and tracks

they all cost you money

I have the PSB pump off my donor HD7G, if he ends up needing one and it would work as a core to build I would consider selling it as a core. It was open for a extended period before I got the tractor.

I had to look around this area with our AC 45 grader.

Not sure on the 344, but they played tunes on the 516's.  There are 9 and 10mm plungers, and there are different injection timings.  9mm's were 32 degrees, 10mm 28.

I got this from a HD 11 parts book and service manual, but don't have access to them any more.

Jensales have an Allis  tech manual on the PSB pumps that might help.

Should add that that manual HD 11 service manual had instructions for changing timing marks on the flywheel too.

My HD6 book says # 4348762 is for engines prior to 6-10368
# 4349851 is for engines after however the injector plumbing ilustrated with these pumps is for the HD344 engine.
My HD7G book says #74354230 for the 6000 & 7000 engines

He said the fuel shop he took the pump to kelp putting him off saying they were backed up and trying to find parts for it he said next thing he knew they were closed up and someone told him the pump wasent left in the building and the owner pulled the over 30 day terms on him sounds like they sold his pump to me or tore it up and didnt want to replace it no wonder they went out of business that same place charged my dad 140.00 dollar a piece to rebuild injectors for a hd6g in 1984 he about had a stroke

Thanks for the replay. Do you know if it will fit and work on an HD6E? I don't know very much about the numbers on the injection pumps.

Thanks
Ron
