Is there a difference in gas and diesel starters..?  I need a good part number for the diesel and a source for a good usable one...thanks from Indiana..Mark

I don't know if they are different but from somewhere I wrote down the part number of an H3 gas starter 1107758. I believe that is a Delco number.

That number of Kip's is applicable for a D-15 gas also. D-15 diesel is 1107502. This is from an old Valu-Bilt catalog.... was $250 for a rebuilt.

Might try a rebuilder in your area, around here I have used G & R rebuilders in St Paul MN (just off University Ave / at Fairview Ave) . They  have rebuild a couple things for me or just sold the pieces I needed . Instead of paying for full rebuild , just fixing your own can be less expensive. If all you need is bushings and brushes why pay for everything else .
