I've been working on a long neglected HD3 dozer, things where going well until I discovered the head was cracked between 3 and 4 exhaust valves.  This allowed the inserts to fall out and then be hammered into the pistons.  I would imagine this head is now junk, yes?

Thanks! I will look into both of those.  In the meantime, I have a model 400 winch I would like to install.  Does anyone have an exploded parts diagram they could post (or sell)?  I know I am missing the intermediate drive shaft plus who knows what else.

Update.  I got my head back from the shop (Chapin), got it mostly back together and torqued to the block.  When I realized that someone had previously installed the valve rotaters on the exhaust valves (they should be on the intakes).  I was careful to put it back together the way it came apart and didnt notice until too late.  Will this be a problem if not corrected or should I just not worry about it?
