   Ok, it only took us about 4 years to get this beast home but it's here for restoration finally. This picture with description was a laminated one that was on display with other pictures at the recent Redwood Region Logging Conference antique equipment display,with 2 tractors. The other thing to ad to that is that the serial no. is 2061, which would indicate a 1950 year model.
We had to set the lowbed up in the county road and back out of the driveway to load it. It actually went pretty well, but we didn't have enough hands to take pictures or videos during the process.
This is what it kind of looked like following it home for 4 hours
So we presented Wayne Astle, the previous owner with the customary Redwood Valley Gravel Products hat  (it's like an honor badge for AC aficionados) and hard to come buy. Wayne and his wife Irma were happy to see it go to a happy AC home. Wayne had acquired the tractor many years ago and had used it mostly on his own personal projects. We want to thank Wayne and Irma for there patience for us to get this out of there yard.
So after we got it home it sat on the lowbed for almost 2 weeks. We didn't need the lowbed or have time to deal with it. We needed to take some time to weigh it changing positions of the tractor on the lowbed to see how we could change the axle weights on the truck and trailer for future over weight loads. So before you ask, it weighed 51,500 lb.s. It was represented as 40,400 delivered new from the factory. With the blade and cable control unit etc. it has grown to 51,500.  It put our total gross weight at 86000 lb.s. We new we would be over weight so we had procured a permit from Caltrans to cover us. We were trying to do all the math in anticipation of hauling this HD20 in the future. The HD20 was represented as 41000 lb.s, but we expect this one to weigh 55000 lb.s or more with all of it's logging gear.

So it's home ready for a bath. We've already identified some original oil bath air cleaners to replace that big dry type air cleaner that's not original.

	ACMel Somewhat off your thread but HD 19 and 20 still earning their keep. There is a "hot rodded" HD 19 around here. Now with 8/71 and 6 speed Spicer box driving the original Allis 2 + 1. Very professionally done, including the air cab that has been grafted on - as he says whoever did it knew exactly what was required to make it work. And it is painted the correct colour. He pulls a full sized blade plow (root plow to you I think). This bloke also knows of a working HD 20 that still has the GM engine but has also been converted to gear drive with a similar box and using the Allis main clutch. I don't have photos.

	Yep, Shameless has got good eyes, all the way from EAST NE. he can tell "it looks pink''. There are some out there that are worse than this. We think it is a combination of a brand of poor Allis Chalmers orange paint and the California sun. We can make it turn orange someday. Ian, the used to be Allis Chalmers dealer in N.Ca, put a 12V71 in an HD21. They were planning on using it for ripping farmland. They had problems with it heating up. It finally went to scrap before we could rescue it.

	A sewer and water company I worked a few decades ago had a HD19 that only carried a single tooth ripper that they used for ripping frozen ground. The excavators they had at the time were cable machines that had no down force capabilities so they needed help when the ground started to freeze. The HD19 was rarely used for anything else. I loved the sound of that 671 whenever they fired it up.

	AC Mel The HD 21's around here had problems with stretch of the bearing carriers in the final drives until 21C's IIRC - there are a couple of FD 30B's which don't seem to have the problem. A 12V71 probably wouldn't have helped that end either.

	As always, Mel, another very enjoyable story. Always great to see another Allis going to a good home, instead of being cut up. Getting out there to see your collection is rising to the top of my "things to do before I die" list. I am not making musch progress on the old HD5G. Getting stuff ready to go to the field, and haven't had any time for toys. Darrel

	Those Allis cats did a lot of work building the Missouri river dams .

	there were 2 hd19h around my area one was a push cat the other was a dozer the dozer I was told the master clutch went out and sat in the same spot since 1965 the push cat was a running machine till it sat up and trees grew around it . I know the push cat went to china I don't know about the dozer
