I purchased a 616 with a loader a few months back. I bought the tractor for use around my property. The 616 has is a great work horse for my needs. The tractor is not perfect but that's how i like it. I posted a few ago about places to get parts (Thanks for the info guys) and while looking on craigs list i did a search for Allis Chalmers and there it was. Another 616 18 miles from my house. Now this one is a bit rough (it caught fire while the previous owner was working on it) The damage looks to be concentrated on the top half of the motor and wiring. I believe the motor itself is fine the seat is gone but the rest of the tractor is there. It has a 60" mower that was just rebuilt and has for almost new turf tires(No fire damage to them) It was really the deck and wheels that made me buy it. My tractor has no deck and has AG tires on it. Now it seems like all i want to do is look up Allis Chalmers whenever I'm online lol. Happy 4th everyone.
Oh i paid $400.00 for it. For a non tractor guy i think it was a great deal. |

Yup, you got a great deal! You are now an official AC lawn tractor hoarder. Plus you have a loader, which many of us are still looking for! You will have many usable parts on the "fire salvage" that will benefit you in the future, I am sure. Welcome!

Doesn't make you a bad person. Great deal on the second 616. You might wanna check out our website for the replacement wiring. We offer service sections of the harness that go bad in the 616,620 & 720 machines...
