The scour-kleen was a great thing back in the day when crops harvested had a lot of weeds in them. With the clean harvests nowadays the scour kleen is useless. Its value is only as a antique show item. Ryan

Try this website http://www.allcropharvester.com/ or pm Tom Yaz on this site if he doesn't jump in here on his own. In the end the value of a scour clean will be somewhere between what you think it's worth and what your neighbor is willing to pay. They aren't making them anymore, but on the other hand they aren't making allcrops anymore either and the usable ones are getting fewer and farther between so the market for it's getting smaller too.
I have a scour kleen that came with my 72 but I haven't put it back on yet. I've used the machine in soybeans and as Ryan said it did a fine job without it. I will probably put it back on since I have it but I wouldn't have given a lot just to have one. I know new screens are expensive. Good luck. |

Tsk Tsk Ryan...no soup for you!!
In the new era of organic farming, the weeds have returned...still a use for them. Also by reversing the process,,,ie, weeds in the grain tank and seed in the sack, they are handy for clover seed.
Value? it all depends...condition is kinda important...if in good shape I would want at least $100 for it.

That was my first thought also, organic farming.
You can try your best, but when farming organic, you are bound to get weeds.
1950's farming was organic for the most part.
