I recently purchased a 7045 on auction and after I cleaned it all up I noticed that the harmonic balancer pulley has some of the rubber coming out and has a small wobble. Other than that it sounds good and I think the tractor is in reasonable shape for 40+ years old. I have a parts black belly 7580 that I could pull the harmonic balancer pulley off of. I know they are not exactly the same but I wasn't sure if that would make a difference?
Can I use the pulley off the parts 7580 or should I just go buy a new one.

Thanks
Matthew

Doubt you can buy new. there is a guy who rebuilds the rubber ring kind. think he only works part time....like several months off. Is that 7580 the 4wd with the 426? It would have the viscous damper which may or may not be so good this many years later. Would have to change complete pulley . Don't ding the damper. Guessing belt grooves in same place?
