Interesting video about a dozer wreck at the bottom of a rocky gorge that happens to be an Allis Chalmers HD14. Tried to figure out where Happy Valley is.

Ya, I saw that. The only 'happy valley' I am aware of is near State College, Pa. there may be others, I dont know.
I got a kick out of the comments, people want to know where it is at because they want to salvage that wench!!! even if, and that is a big if, they could get it off, as the weight of the whole carcass is on it, it would be a real bear to get out of there. There is a reason it is still there after 50-60 years!

I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Ps 27 |

Thanks for sharing. Wherever Happy Valley is located that is some rough terrain. Would have been a fatal ride if the operator had stayed on.

Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

There is a Happy Valley near River Falls WI, nope, one in Kentucky and I found a third in California. There are other Happy Valleys. Looks like it would be an intereesting hike.

Only thing I can find with any reference to Chuck Norris (mentioned early in the video as owning property in the area) is a post stating that he killed all life in Happy Valley & today it is known as Death Valley... Just a random online sh!tpost more than likely, but it tickled me & made me wonder if it's gonna be the California one... Any Happy Valleys in Texas I wonder?
Does kinda "feel" Cali, Not sure how it can being as I'm 6k miles away but nonetheless, it does. Edited by ekjdm14 - 18 Nov 2024 at 9:18am |

from a previous Post @TheHypnotstCollector 2 days ago In 1997 I lived 2 miles down from Loma Prieta, highest point in the Santa Cruz Ca mountains (3765ft) . The San Andreas Fault goes between Summit road and Loma Chiquita Rd with Loma Prieta Pk being sorta near the merging of the two rds and a canyon, Uvas ck, the fault, between them. SO:: A guy , 70-ish, had a D-11. He drove by me on his way over to Loma Chiquita. So he was kinda opposite my property on Summit. He was on a steep slope, removing brush. Something happened, engine stuttered so he dropped the blade and was walking up the slope to Loma Chiquita road when he turned around to see his D11 go ass over heals into Uvas Ck/ the S. Andreus Fault... Those D11'a are heavy. It sat there for 10+ years. I was on google earth in 2009 and it had been moved. A path was cut in from Svedal // up Uvas Ck to the D11 and it was somehow hauled out. It was a yellow smudge on Google Earth for years . If you go on Google Earth you'll see some barren patches on Loma Chiquita kinda up towards Loma Prieta, that's where he did the summersaults. Fell from Elv 2500ft, to the Creek at 1500ft, and a 3000ft stretch of endo's |

I live in Californy and that looks like it could easily be in this state of Fruits and Nuts.
I also remember the Loma Prieta earthquake even though it was 100 to 150 miles away. It shock thing really good. But the San Simion quake of Dec 03 was about 5 to 7 miles away. My first thought was that must of been really big closer to the center, only to find I was at the center more or less.
