After taking the pump apart I see the diaphragm is bad. Having no luck in finding any parts for it. They told me the 180, 185, 190 is the same fuel pump. When I asked about the 170 they told me it was gravity fed. I thought about putting an electric fuel pump on it but after looking at it I just took the rubber hose that hooked to the fuel pump and put it on the fuel line out of the pump. tightened the clamp so it didn't leak. made a plate to cover the hole and tried to start it. Guess what. It runs just fine. Took it out and dug some dirt with it with no problems. So for now ill run it like this but maybe theres something I am overlooking so chime in. I am all ears. Still would like to rebuild the pump if some one would have the parts for it. Part number is 4058971 or 4058967. Have a great day. Norm

would say it works fine until there is some restriction in filter - the stock filter is both primary and secondary in one can - the injector pump runs at a slight pressure to it and excess fuel is bypassed back - I would either find a primary pump or put a electric pump into system just to make sure there is a flow to the injection pump.
I kept a extra fuel filter with me for the machine i had as it seemed to foul out regularly

I think this is a gasoline model? Really shouldn't need a fuel pump as long as gravity feeds the carb.

still think I would use a small electric pump then as if on a hill with tank lower I see a stalling problem - as the tank sets about same level as engine center line can see fuel problem . and with torque converter would hate to freewheel backwards down a incline .
