Anyone gotten one of these yet? The Franklin Telescoping Extension Ladder. It telescopes down from a rated 14' reach to a height of only 31". A great companion to take along in an RV. Available at Harbor Freight. Watch the YouTube Video, G https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ui58MzW-Dco

A couple years ago, I saw the HF telescoping ladder on their website. I had been looking for one to carry in my fifth wheel.
After doing some research, I found the one below from Walmart. It is (much) less expensive ($150 vs $80), taller (15.5' vs 14') and heavier duty (330 vs 250 lbs. capacity). I ordered the one from Walmart and got it in a couple days. I opened it up, extended it out, closed it and put it in the fifth wheel and it is still there, so I can't tell you anything about the actual quality.
If you need an address to have one delivered in the USA, I am only 12 miles from Cornwall (if that GM will make it that far!).

Oh I think it would make it that far, and then some. LOL
I am in South Alabama right now, Gulf Shores, with a Harbor Freight not too far away.
First of the year we head for Galveston, Texas, for 3 months.
This ole Duramax just keeps purring along like a pet kitten.
Giving me 12 mpg towing the 40', and a best of 27 mpg on a 2 lane cruise.

We were talking about possibly going to Galveston in February instead of Florida. Florida has got so busy (traffic wise) that my wife doesn't want to go back.

I've heard that telescoping ladders are pretty handy, especially if you’re short on storage space or need something portable for an RV. My friend got one, and he says it’s been awesome. Also, there are some good ladder nz options too, including non-conductive fibreglass ones, which are perfect if you’re working around electrical stuff.

I've got a cheap($50) version, 30 years ago, use it to get into attic, 'once in a blue moon'. Great as it's stored in the closet 24/7. Allows EASY access ,when required,loke when the 'contractor' doesn't tierap the exhaust hose to the bathroom fan......

250lbs becomes problematic with a majority of US Males, add a tool belt, a Drill or Saw, fasteners or small components in hand, safety gear or equipment and a 200lb male crosses 250 easily. I at 250 will cross that 350 limit in cold weather handling all the above and cold weather gear on. Nothing beats a REAL ladder for general work, for emergent times these would do Ok, not great but OK.

I doubt anyone would buy one of these unless they have no place to store it or a need to take a ladder into where you can't carry a full-size ladder. I bought mine to access the roof of my fifth wheel (which I think Gary was looking for also). If you wear more than about 10 lbs. of cold weather gear, you must be in a lot colder climate than we are here 5 miles from Quebec.
