This may sound kinda strange...I have some mowing to do on a relativley steep grade. And I was wondering what is the maximum angle (pitch & roll) you can have a AC-CA at before the pick up tube in the oil pan wont pull oil? My AC crawlers owners manuals stipulate max angle, but my AC tractor manuals mention nothing of this...Thanks

I have read the same type thing in both dozer and excavator manuals but never in tractor manuals. Very interesting thought.

I have on a couple of occasions had my CA Hydraulics fail to function when the front of the tractor was 12 to 15 inches lower than the back tires and would not lift the snapcoupler implement. I was unloading from the trailer with the front wheels at the bottom of the ramps and the rear tires was still on the top of the trailer deck. the other occasion I was in the front yard getting near the road ditch with both front wheels at the bottom and the rear tires was still on the top. I had to back out to level it out to get the hydraulics to work again. It does have its tilt limitations! I don't know about angles & roll limitations!

I have been on some serious inclines and i would worry more of the tractor tipping than not being able to pickup oil!
