I knew him well back in the late 60s and 70s, when dealing with Charley Mitchell and Larry Larcom. Great dealership.

I’m only 38 but when I was growing up seeing Joe on his open cabbed combines and his WD 45 are the first things I can remember loving to watch farm as a kid growing up 2 doors down and I was lucky enough to be able to get his 45 and learn how to rebuild a engine w it.. I was happy that I was able to get it and keep it on our road pretty cool that it parked in the same spot since 1957..

Evans Farm Equip. in La rue was our A-C Dealer. I'd go there as a boy with Dad many times. Dad did a lot of business over the years with Mike Evans. Very nice family business.

Between those two brothers I can’t imagine there being any more Allis Chalmers knowledge with sales parts and mechanics knowledge...

Larcom and Mitchel was our dealer also. The parts man was Joe ?? was very good. We bought the last 190XTIII they sold new as the 200s were out and they wanted it off the lot. I always liked to poke my nose in the machine shop.

Forgot I had this picture in my files here. The last new 190XTIII sold at Larcom and Mitchell. When he found out about it Joe wanted that model A real bad. Me when I was a darn sight younger. This was taken in 1975 or 76.
