the old lady....ooooops.....i mean the loving wife and myself went for a drive today. first i been away from the house cept for med runs (4) in past 3-1/2 months. regained some sanity, and was able to go to a casino (most opened today) for a little play. didn't stay long, did good tho, plugged a hunert ina penny machine, took out $291. i cashed that in and we left, got home and that money wasn't...WASN'T... in my pocket!!!! musta fell out somewhere...maybe when i reached in for the car keys??? anyways...who ever found it...i hope they stuck it in their pockets and didn't re-invest  (lose) it! the employees at the casino were armed with spray bottles and rags and wiped each machine down every time someone got up from them. i did experience that while playing one machine that if you sat there to long, the machine would like time out and go dormant, that was their way of saying to move on i guess, then an employee would wipe it all down and reset the machine for playing again. and if a person would get up to move to another machine, it too would shut down until cleaned and reset. chairs were removed on every other machine. hand sanitizer stands were everywhere. we were checked at the door for out tempatures on the forehead.   there were entrances and exits to the building at different places, couldn't do both at any one set of doors. no valet services available. i thought they were doing good there. i got my "fix" for awhile! just that i lost my winnings was the bummer! oh well.

Yeah,,well,,the guvnor of our state finally relented and decided she better open up as she was catchin heck for not followin other states,,,
The sad part is that some small business will prolly never open back up cause they lost too much and not able to financially afford to open up,,,,,,,
I'm thinkin that there lots of things that have "changed" and will forever stay "changed",,,,some for the good,,,and some for not so good,,,,One of the "Mom & Pops" cafes we used to like has not opened up (yet) and that pains me for them losin their business. I really hope the US decides to sue the living chit outa china for what they done against the whole world,,,!!!
I don't really mind the masks that much,,,cause if was I to meet a certain person down an store isle,,,,,,the mask oughta "protect" me from too many of them strong odorous fumes comin outa his ,,,,,,nuff said,,,,,LOL

when i was sitting outside the casino waiting for the old lady....ooooops.....i mean the loving wife go park the burb, a young couple came up to the door and was met by casino employees. they told them they have to wear a mask to enter. they said they didn't have any, and then the employee went and got them both a mask. the employee then held up a temp thing and the guy wanted to know what the HE** he was doing? he said taking his temperature...the dude asked what for? (where's this guy been?) they were allowed to continue in...and i thought to myself...those are the kind of people that pass stuff like this around to others...no regard for anyone elses safety! PfffffT! i thanked the employee when he took my temp when entering. i also thanked the employees inside when they cleaned a machine before i sat down...they seemed to liked to be thanked...

Thanks Shameless, I needed a chuckle today.  I'm glad you are taking this stuff seriously and following suggested guidelines.  I've been to Lowes and HD.  She decided she wanted to make a flower bed a no work bed.  A lot of digging and leveling to get the first block put in place.  Still working on it.  I'm glad you got to get out and get a fix of normalcy.  I'm getting up the courage to try a restaurant!

I got out yesterday as well. Had a 12:00 noon eye dr. Appointment then finally a hair cut appointment. In between I was able to go to the Ozark Cafe to cheat on my diet. Only thing I cheated on was the double cheeseburger the tots and the sweet tea. It made me so happy to go in there and see other hillbillies. Tables too far apart to talk.
I also went to a new bang bang store to check stock and prices.

I also just heard our little county is up to 56 cases and we lost a local Dr. to vivid. All government buildings shut down as of Monday. Supposedly Arkansas is now a hot spot.

Went out to an auction yesterday, there didn't seem to be no 6 feet away from others... packed crowd .
Came home and went to raking some hay and my old 9 wheel rake decided to do a separation ... pole broke in half and the rake laid down on 9 new wheels I had put on 5 days ago... now I have to reinforce and weld that back together. Angry So much for separation, wasn't a good thing for the rake.

Boy JC, you're having a streak of bad luck lately.....Good thing you can weld.  I've been out an about quite a bit, up at the farm.  Just a few of us local yokels who don't go anywhere except to see each other at coffee in the am.  Not much else goin on, except going golfing.  Most of us are taking this covid stuff with a grain of salt.  Ya just gotta be careful.

Shameless, why don't you have a wallet?  I don't go anywhere without it now, after the second time I did what you just went through.  Even then, I lose money sometimes.....these new bills all stick together and you hand em 2 instead of 1.  DANG it makes me mad, but what can you do?  Try harder at wetting your finger and seeing if they are stuck together.
Well, you were figuring on losing that much anyway.......too bad though
