Les, I have pretty much given up on my garden, it went from ankle deep mud to hard as a brick in just a few days.  I am picking up another jug of weed killer tomorrow.

We've gotten several hail storms here in the last few weeks.  About the only good that has come from it is the thistle patch looks really bad.  Might even get time to deal with them before they flower again.

Was about 95 or better the first part of the week. Come mid week started raining and windy and cooled down enough I put my jacket on.

Rains just enough to make the grass grow. Les is right, I think it has fertilizer in it.
Rains enough to barely settle the dust on gravel.

Got a hard rain about an hour before dark, less that 1/10th. Cousin said we got 4/10ths at the farm early this morning.

We had over 10" in about 7 days, youngest sons in laws live around Bedford Iowa about 45 minutes west of here. They have had less than 2" in the past several months. It came in 3 or 4 overnight sessions, drizzeled all night. Darn crick never had over a foot of water in it.   All I've gotten done the past 6 weeks is mow lawn, and do flea/farmers mkts. Still waiting on the cement crew and haven't gotten the old gals west porch enclosed. Hoping a grandson will have time next week to help.
