can anyone tell me if the allis chalmers 4331 engine is the d2200 with a turbocharger.

Yea, pretty much. The F2 433I has a crankshaft balancer and piston cooling, I dont know if the 2200s did or not, I would think not as it was at a lower HP level. HTH

thanks for the info. i have a d2200 engine in an hd4 dozer and i was looking at the f2 gleaner for purchase to provide a spare engine. randall
