Ok so I stopped and looked at a Gleaner K, and was curious what some things on it were worth.....I have no idea what the head on it is but it has lots of tines...probably for hay(I'm ignorant to combines), not really in bad shape but I just want the rims, tires, and possibly the engine. Whats it worth to purchase and whats the demand for parts? I cant imagine its a super useful machine anymore. What engine did they run? I see it was a 6cyl but wasnt sure if it was a 262 or what...I didnt get that close to it.

What you saw was the grain platform. Soybeans, wheat, oats, sorgum, basically about anything except corn. Most of the K's had a 250 chevy 6 cylinder engine. |

There used to be a bunch of letter series parts combines scattered everywhere around here and parts were cheap. Now that high scrap prices have gotten rid of most of them, parts are getting scarce and the prices reflect that.
