anybody here run goodyear tires  for pullin. everybody rants and raves about firestone 45 degree tires or something like that. so are the goodyears a good tire? i can guarantee the wd wont get firestones as they are so expensive my grandpa (aka my main sponsorWink) wont even put firestones on his good tractors, in fact he just bought bob king tires from bob king tire companyLOL i dont know the width  or the tread degree (like 45 or 23 degree tires) but i do know they are 28 inchers, i should be able to get a look at the tires soon so i can tell ya how wide they are (tractor is stored in my grandpa's barn so yeah)

around here alot of people run firestone field and road 151's ....There are just all around a hard to beat tire....But there are alot of guys that use good year dyna torque's on dirt and do very well. It sometime depends on track conditions and what the tread is like. We go for tires with about 30-50% tread left and they seem to do the best.

it would seem I got the early ones when they were still good, as we know the guy who had it before and they are pretty old, no sidewall cracks or bulges in between treads that I can remember

thats pretty narrow....We look for 16.9x28 and widen the rim to make the tire tread as flat as you can. They will work just fine but wont be the greatest.....Just my 2 cents.
