Serial #1534 is a 1975 which means it is a model 715, the 715B was made from 1977-1981 and the 715C after that.

1494 to 1758 puts it as a 1975
the plate where you have Srl# would have the 715B and then -D if it is a D series

Thankyou for the help, its very much appreciated. I have another odd question. In my Operators manual it calls out the Hydraulic Oil as a Grade Level SAE5W-20 &SAE10W-30 whick I interpret as engine oil. Does hydraulic oil come as an SAE?

3237 was the first one built in 1982 and that would make it a 715-C.

I have used universal tractor oil in the hydraulics of my 715B for the last 26 years and in my 715 before that with no problems.
Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed
