It has a Eaton Hydrostatic unit - think it is around 2 1/2 qt . I used ATF in unit . it does have the vent cup where you add oil till full.
The Hydrogear Transaxle  in another mower i have uses 20/50 motor oil  and the Vickers unit in my New Holland uses 10/30

Call Country Air and Repair in Moorefield. They are not far from Mount Forest. Very knowledgeable people. They are a Simplicity dealer.they can tell you the info and might even find you a manual. 1 519 638 8941.   Good luck.     John.
