I have some questions about a type of wheel loader that Allis Chalmers made in the 1950's  and 60's.  I know this site is primarily for Ag Tractors, but I heard on another forum that there are some pretty knowlegeable people here that might be able to help.

Apparently there are 2 models of TL12 wheel loaders.  The early models from the 1950's by Tractomotive and a later Allis Chalmers redesigned model.  I have the early 1950's model and I need parts.  I think I might have located a later model for parts.  Does anybody know if both models share clutch parts and housings?  Another question I have is does the later model have a dedicated power steering/torque converter pump?  I have looked over web and I just can't any good pictures of the powertrain on this later machine.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

AC had a thing on lot of parts they are the same as truck parts or other easily accessible stock items that fit other units.
Friend who had a scraper found the clutch and transmission parts he needed from older truck parts of the same era.
If like my Pettybone loader of same ear the torque converter was Allison unit and used a clutch also in combination with converter ,

Success,  I found spare parts machine of the same early vintage.  Intresting bit about the torque converter.  I was able to use 2 1/2 ton military surplus wheel cylinders for the brakes , so you are abosolutely right about sharing parts.
