Can anybody identify the pump above the pto on my 5040 Allis? It is responsible for running the loader. I just picked up this old tractor as a project. I am told this pump needs a seal because it leaks fluid into the transmission from the loader reservoir and causes the transmission to overflow. Using an auxiliary pump off the pto shaft for now. I cant find a part number or markings on the pump to identify it. Should be an easy fix if it just needs a seal. Hoping to get the tractor back to usable condition before winter.

Should be the same shaft seal as any other 400 or 500 series loader or Gleaner F or G combines. The pump is a little different to other 400/500 loaders as it turns in the opposite direction. But, I'm sure all internal parts are identical, just the housings are different for bass-ackwards rotation.

Pumped used on Fiat built tractors,both my Oliver 1365 tractors with loaders have the same pump.Also used by Fiat built Long tractors.Be very careful not to damage or lose the drive gear they are about impossible to find.

If memory serves, the numbers would be on the mounting face of the pump.
Original pumps were made in Hutchinson, Kansas by Cessna.

In 2006, we replaced the original pump with an EATON 26009-LAA. 1.48 CID, 11?16 KYD. 3/4" x 1/2.
This was on a 500 Loader mounted to a D-17. Had to modify mounting bolts & pump guard.

Thanks for all the replies on this. I pulled the pump off tonight and found the part number. It is a cessna pump, numbers I found were B24307LAQ. Not sure the significance of the last 3 digits.
I took the calipers out to measure the shaft. .685" or 17.39mm so 11/16 and it is keyed. I am in the process of removing the loader, the tractor needs a clutch which is the first priority. There are some markings on the seal but hard to make out the full number, so far all I can find are large kits which may exceed the cost of replacing the pump. I might try and contact one of these companies to see if they can just get me the seal and not a $300 kit. If a seal does not resolve the problem then I will just do a new pump. No idea how many GPM this pump was rated for. Pumps from Princess Auto (canada) are all 3/4" shaft. In the second picture you can see the seal is half missing, so like the previous owner said it was just dumping fluid from the loader into the transmission. If people are interested, I will keep this thread going. Never split one of these old tractors before. Like I said it needs a clutch, not sure if just a disk or the whole package. I suspect is going to be really bad. The loader covers the inspection plate but I know its needs to be split. I was thinking maybe the loader dumping so much oil into the transmission got onto the clutch? Maybe wishful thinking. All the cylinders on the loader are leaking, some of the hoses. All look ripe. The dash is dead, I have bench tested the tach and temp gauge, they seem fine. Tach cable is mia. The fuel gauge is stuck. Tomorrow I am building a support to hold the loader as I remove it. Call Surplus Center they have a big selection of pumps and also pretty good tech folks to help.Also very reasonable prices on all things hydraulic.
