It doesn't matter GM, or FORD, NONE on the lots.. Idiot sales guy says to 'order one'. Right, like I'm going to fork out $50K+ and NOT go for a test drive ??? Had the Silverado next door had A/C I would have bought it,just too costly to install.

You haven't seen one in a Dealership lot for a good reason. You would be the only guy looking to buy one. If someone like yourself wanted one, you would have to give the Dealer a hefty deposit, and he would order it from the Factory. Probably take 3 or 4 months to Delivery. G .......................................................... 'Lindsay Buick GMC' has near what you want - on their lot. 2024 GMC Sierra, Reg. Cab, Long Box, V8 5.3, but it's a 4 X 4 Sticker Price $59,409 I just got a new Laptop, and don't have the Copy and Paste turned on, or I would have copied the Link Edited by Gary - Yesterday at 12:34pm |

ALL of the manufacturers will BUILD that truck... Problem is the DEALERS only order what 90% of the population WANTS.... Work Trucks / Utility Trucks, etc.. are ORDERED from the factory in advance... what is on the lot is what the Majority of people will buy.. That only makes sence.

jay, MOST PEOPLE dont want to wait 4-5 MONTHS for a vehicle... Dealer STOCKS what 90% of the PEOPLE WANT.... Not what they NEED... What they WANT.. If you dont WANT a Crew Cab - 4 x 4 - 400 HP - with all the bells and whistles, thats FINE... But that is what 90% of people WANT...

I ordered a truck form GM. Waited 2 years for it. Finally showed up as 2024 model. I had originally ordered a 2022 if I recall correctly. 2500 4wd, 4 door but smaller rear doors, plow prep package. 6.6 gas. A work truck. But that was during the covid mess.

Simple fact, if the people were really into cost and fuel savings the GEO and similar autos would be the trend. They aren’t, crew cab soccer mom buses and SUVs are. Larger, feel safer even as likely not, gives the driver a false sense of security with the current tissue paper and tinfoil structures. With Crumple Zones and the exotic electronics insurers will total one of these almost as soon as the dust settles on a wreck, costs escalate out of control from there. Heavy Trucks have been headed down that road for two decades with unibodies and less structure to them, lighten them for higher load weights and receive a recipe for cost escalating disasters.

About 30% of people lease their pickup trucks instead of buying them. In fact, in 2022, there were more leases for new light trucks than for new passenger cars in the United States...........
the problem with a LEASE is when the time is up, you get another truck and the LEASE continues... You NEVER PAY IT OFF.... You PAY FOREVER.. .. I guess a lot depends on how much you drive, how long you plan to keep the truck and if you need (WANT) a new truck every few years... ??

yup, more light trucks 'needed' to haul 2 kids to school and such.... I've never understood why anyone would lease their personal vehicle. Car loan costs same as a lease except you GET the car at the end of the term. My company did lease a car(100% write of...),paid huge monthly fee. When it can time to 'turn in the keys', dealer was pizzed as wife BOUGHT the car. Hmm... 1 owner, lady driven, very few miles on it,great shape. |
