 Topic: A late prayer request

Last night at a local convenience store, two of our Local Police were performing a outstanding warrants investigation where were shot by the perp who fled in a black Jeep Wrangler. The two officers are alive and in a unreleased hospital.
Prayers are for their recovery.

What a terrible loss for the families of those that have suffered EOW, especially as their life's work was to "Protect US",,, History will long remember the current administration for their abject failure for protecting those that protect US!!

Prayer for the family of the dead policeman. Prayers for healing and return to duty of the other man. May the perp have enough hnor to take his own life and eliminate the need for trial and jail/prison time.

Terd has been caught, so far is alive. Niece is a employee of backstoppers in STL, checks already being cut for the family. Leaves a wife and a 10 year old son. My Brother noted Tunnels to Towers should be taking care of any mortgage he may have had. Small condolences for the loss.

A police officer was killed and another seriously injured in a shooting Sunday night in eastern Missouri, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. Detective Sgt. Mason Griffith died from injuries sustained in the shooting that occurred about 9:20 p.m. Sunday at a Casey’s gas station at 811 Market Street in Hermann, Missouri, which is along the Missouri River, between Columbia and St. Louis. The other officer remains in serious, but stable condition at a hospital, the highway patrol said. A manhunt was underway for the suspect who was identified as Kenneth Lee Simpson, 35

He Has been arrested, carried off to Jefferson City. Will REMAIN incarcerated until his trial and hopefully Final Disposition.

Was coming back from St Louis this afternoon, I 44 and overpasses - and thru Union was lined up with cop cars , officers, emergence personnell and people; said it was procession to bring him to Owensville to the funeral home,, very sad deal , way to young and his killer should already be behind bars

Brings up a second Important Point.
The young Man was actually from Rosebud MO, Drove EVERYDAY to Hermann to be Cop there, some 25 miles ONE WAY where the other young man was from new Haven at close to 18 miles away. Our little burg has become a ghost town of B&Bs or Guest Cottages where maybe half rent on weekends or holiday weeks the remaining languish as AIRBNB special sales or not rented at all. The ability for workers here to live here is GONE, business cannot have the working types living within their Special Industry community including police, not a good look as these business also whine cannot achieve workers.

Dmiller that is a common problem, buying places and using them for air b&b's, or something similar. Makes it hard to get employees.

Here in Ohio, vacation capital and canoes around here school is half the size it was 60 years ago when I graduated their having trouble getting school levies passed, 1 building is 100 years old another is 75 years old and the high school is 59 years old. Tried to build 25 years ago when I was on the board and couldn't get it passed now class size is half as many trying to operate these old building and mostly older people paying tax is retired is rough.
