I use 3 cups of bleach in with water in a 15 gallon sprayer, I spray the bleach water on and let it sit for a few minutes, then I take the power washer and wash it off, works good, been doing it that way for years, you will ruin a set of clothes and it's best if you cover up your wife's plants along the bottom of the house,, you don't have to ask how I know that.

I have had good luck with "30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner" from Menards or ACE Hardware. About $10.00 a gallon. Mix it 1:1 with water  Plus it has the surfactants to clean the dirt along with the mold that regular bleach doesn't have

I put mine undiluted in a gallon pump garden sprayer, rinse the siding down, spray the siding, wait a few minutes, grab my (relatively) clean shop broom and lightly scrub the siding, and rinse. Very rarely do I need to do a 2nd spray/rinse.

A few weeks ago I was cleaning the siding at one of my rental houses and the guy across the street asked "what kind of sh!t are you using" "I was mowing the front yard when I seen you start and by the time I was done mowing your siding looked new". Told him what I used and how I did it and he just said he use bottles and bottles of the hose end sprayer type of cleaners and it didn't even touch the mold or dirt." Gave him the empty jug of what I used so he remembers what to buy.

As stated before, wear old clothes that you don't mind getting "spotted".

it's Sodium Hypochlorate... good stuff for removing mold and mildew, but keep it out of ponds, streams, off of pets and skin.  If there's flower gardens around the house, they'll be basically gone within a few days.
Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.
