I have officially retired from my step business.  The new owner of the business is:

            Alex Wocking

            A&W Tractor, LLC

            12802 Wiskow Road

            Cecil, WI  54111

            Phone:  920 598-1287

Alex will be selling the steps as “Noonan Tractor Steps.”

It has been 12 wonderful years of helping folks get onto their tractors.  I want to thank all of my customers, many of whom have bought multiple steps.  Thank you for your patronage and the confidence you have had in my products.

Michael Noonan

Great news!  Congrats to you Mike for designing and producing your quality steps for the past number of years.  As we all get older, your steps make it much easier to get up on our beloved ACs.  I am glad that you have found someone who will continue to build and sell them for years to come.  I have been very happy with all of your steps to date.

Alex, you have made great strides in recent years making some of the best quality reproduction parts.  I am sure your decision to offer new OEM Nelson mufflers took an awful lot of work on your part, but shows your commitment to making our old AC tractors the best they can be.  I am sure Mike's steps will be a great addition to your product line.  You will be getting more business from me in the future!

Retirement is great. I hope you enjoy it as much as most of us retired Allis Forum friends. Glad to hear that Alex is going to continue with the service that you created.

Thank you to all for the kind words and your awesome past patronage on my second retirement. I had originally retired in 2006 from my lifes work and now after 12 years of making tractor steps it was time to turn it over to Alex. He will do a great job carrying on with the steps. Thanks again, Michael Noonan

I never bought any steps from Mike, but sure enjoyed seeing him at the shows. I forgot to ask you at Hutch if you retired the hat also? The first time I seen you without it I wasn't sure if was you! Enjoy your second retirement, I'm getting quite used to my first one.

I received my step for my Series IV today that I ordered last week. I must say I'm beyond impressed with the product!!!! It is built like a tank and came complete with mounting hardware and surprisingly was already painted!! I thought I would be painting it. The price is right and I am VERY IMPRESSED!!! Ryan

Hi Everyone! New to the forum. Can someone tell me if the Noonan 175/ D-17 steps bolt to the original foot platform holes, or does it actually bolt to a frame member underneath the factory foot plate?? I’m worried about it bending down the original factory foot plate if it’s just using those holes instead of a frame mount. Thinking For Christmas for my 72 year old dad’s 175. Thank you!

You'd be correct. If any add-on step is just attached to the front of a D-series platform, over time and depending on the size of the operator, the platform will get bent down and break.

I have had several of these steps on my tractors for 10 years or so.  Have not had any issues with bending.  However, we are average size/weight operators.

I have the D17 step as well. I was worried about bending the foot plate at first, but if you think about it... When you get the on tractor without the extra step, you step of the edge of the foot plate and all your weight is on the corner. How is this any different then stepping on the add-on step?

The step does bolt to the foot plate in the same spot where you would step on without having a step. Over time you may have a bend in the footplate, but we have had tractors with bent footplates come through our service dept over the years without steps on too.
