Does anyone make a battery cable that is worth anything? Can't buy anything these days worth a crap.What is up with the cable ends anymore? Who makes good ones these days? Bad enough the trouble it is to put a battery in one of them. Tracy

I buy cable and ends in bulk and make my own. Have since the early 70's. Most gas engines get #1 gauge cable and Diesel engines get #00 cable. I solder ends on and heat shrink them. I buy cable in both RED and BLACK, but as cost per foot has really jumped likely to just buy Black next time. #00 is about $5.50/ foot wholesale now.

I get mine at the local JD shop they make them up from quality cable and ends use a hydraulic crimper I've never in 20 years had one go bad or lose connection.

I use 00 and get quality crimp ends. I have a crimp tool that does multiple sizes so I can do small wiring on up to the bigger stuff. Has worked well for me. Big difference using wielding cable. My 6V WD spins over much faster with the 00.

I like to use di-electric grease that is used with aluminum wire when making joints, terminating.
