There's a '91 Dodge P/U with a Cummins engine, 4x4, 5 speed stick and 150,000 miles on my local C/L . The pics show surprisingly little rust on it . He's asking $10,500 OBO, how close will he get to the first asking price ?

Cannot get mechanical FI engines these days so these became a premium.  Cummins/Case is slowly dropping support on the engines where now at 30 years old may be tough to get repair parts if some slight failure occurs.

might get 15-18K.
saw a blurb on the idiot box that said the driving factor in the whopping HIGHER cost of living increase in the USA is used car sales ! I'm thinking the public ain't got 75K+ for a new truck, made with Chineses parts, so buying used make cents...er sense....

1st Gen trucks are in higher demand now than when they were new. People don't go in for the new UGLY trucks as much as the designers think. The Getrag 5 speed in the 1st Gen trucks is the weak link. Use synthetic trans oil and keep them cool and that helps. The engines will run forever. Engine parts for them is easer than most think. That engine is too popular to drop support for them. From all the reports I hear the older trucks get better fuel mileage than any of the newer ones. Rust is the killer of the 1st gen trucks , look closely.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

Rust, ball joints, brakes, tranny, . . .but 1,000,000 miles on those engines is not unheard of.  A friend of mine had one about that year.  It literally fell to pieces around that purring engine.

That would be gone in no time out here. I was looking 4 years ago, any diesel 4x4 truck was $20,000 until they had 350,000 miles, year did not seem to matter. But trucks native to the west don't have the rust. So instead of buying something I need to put money in my 72 Chey.

Contemplating rebuilding the cab on my 99 F250SD Ford.  7.3L still runs like a champ, will need rear diff overhauled and clutch packs replaced in it(Limited Slip) but so far frame is still sound.

Truck prices locally are crazy. Used Ram diesels are through the roof. Diesels of any brand are way up. A guy was looking at a used 2020 Chevy gas at a local Chevy dealer. The salesman pretty much ran up to him and asked if he was willing to trade his Duramax? With the shortage of diesels they gave him $16k more than he paid for it new in 2018. Said he didn’t need a diesel anymore. That’s just nuts
