Had a 7020 local we went to look at since the weather is nasty out. Original owner bought new, rear tires were ok, mismatched fronts.  Recently had 8K put in rear end, and only 1 oil change on overhaul.  Sloppy repaint,  and cab not very good.  Has a hole in the block, he wants $12k!!  LOLLOL  waste of time...

A 7020 that needed rearend work and a hole in the block has been mistreated for some time. Not one you'd want no matter the price.

Sad how some people don't care for their equipment. I can take you to a farm that has an early 7060 (1974) that has 10,000+ hrs on it. Paint is original and waxed. Always shedded and maintained properly. It might be for sale on their estate sale and they aren't quite 70 yrs old yet.

yeah, we have a 7020 ps we use to bale with and its much nicer.  originally we didnt know any price so we decided to take a look, maby it could be a fixer upper.  we werent really interested in this for half of what he was asking.  but it had a new starter, and very low hours on overhaul... HAHAHA.  dont think this tractor had ever been inside,  we keep everything under cover 99% of the time,  even the 67 year old dozers that sat outside their whole lives before we got them.  when the dealer comes out to look at combines for possible trade deal and they are impressed despite the age/hours, you are doing something right.

Convince him to put it on Big Iron. You'll get it for what you want, and he cant complain because everyone had the opportunity to bid, but chose not to based on condition.

I guess cant be too mad at him, he could've scrapped it.IMO people that send fixer uppers to scrap are the worst, depriving the rest of us of parts or a potential runner.
Gleaner: the properly engineered and built combine.

If you need parts for your Gleaner, we are parting out A's through L2's, so we may be able to help.
