    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 at 12:29am
Hello All,
After removing the head from my '46 C I saw a small crack at the top between # 2 and 3. Heard this is rather common and not something overly harmful? What are the best options for repair?
Thanks Again for the Help

Very common on those engines, the head gasket will seal it up. I wouldn’t worry about it.   I think most of those blocks are cracked there. I know I’ve seen at least a dozen cracked between the top cylinders and it didn’t cause any problem.

You are good to go.  Came across that when I did the engine on my D14 10 years ago.  No problems so far!

Put some sealer on your head gasket and put it back together. Cracks at the top, between cylinders are very common.
