Snow plowing

A guy I know called me today wanting to borrow myplow truck. His 2019 ferd blew a tranny early today, he lost a rod on his old 7.3 about 4:30 this afternoon. His question is has anyone been using a 2019 Chevy 1 ton with a 6? Engine and the 10 speed tranny? How are you getting along with them.

Someone that can ruin 2 trucks in one day would not be anyone I'd be lending anything to, even if they were only Frogs  He sounds like my former brother. My dad said "never that that oldest one borrow anything that isn't N!&&#* proof, he can run the wheels of a steel wheeled tricycle".

Ah yes can I borrow your plow truck 
 I bought my first snow plow truck back in 1974 - after using my IH 460 for 3 years doing plowing . 
 Was a Jeep Commander V6 Buick engine with Turbo 400 tranny - guy I bought if from broke his new truck and asked to use it to finish his plowing - got it back 3 days later - towed here - he knocked transmission out - he was one of these guys who was always in a hurry ram a pole / throw it into reverse while still moving forward - floor it and spin the wheels and throw into the next direction,  So we exchange of some money back to me for broken Jeep and my job of pulling tranny out and having it rebuilt. 
 Found out later he replaced the transmission every year as he destroyed in in that time. He tore the reverse band anchor out of case - replaced case and rebuilt transmission - ran it for 2 years until frame broke and I figured it was at end of life - 
 I bought a new Chev 3/4 ton and traded the Jeep to the dealer for a new Western plow , and 12 years later retired that truck with original clutch still good . 
 At the time I plowed about 25 accounts and around 30 hours of plowing each snow . 
Went up to 2 trucks and 50 accounts - skid loader and backhoe and snow hauling - 
  Now I plow one place and it takes around 2 to 3 hours + my own and wonder why I even do it any more . I HATE SNOW AND WINTER 
 NO I do not loan equipment without me operating it . though last year I had to borrow my sons plow and truck for a couple weeks while I rebuilt my transfer case and rebuild front differential  on my 2000 GMC - and now I am having problems with my Boss Plow hydraulics so might have to borrow his again .

Plow on truck + snow= instant a$$hole!!!!

Yep my son gave up the low route I had for 40 years last year and I took 2 accounts on again - well he plowed the one for me once last year when I was working on truck and place called him to complain whoever was plowing was going to fast and plowing snow over the curb and made a couple move their cars rather than wait for them to do their business . ( So don't have that account this year) Started plowing it in 1974 until this fall - ownership change I guess . 
 Had a Tractor Supply store I plowed for 14 years - then they got a new manager and he set displays on all 3 sides of the parking lot so no place to put snow when plowed - he got ticked when I buried his great storage areas - but had no idea where snow was suppose to go and didn't want to pay to have it hauled away . 
 Son was charging $125 a hour for plowing - 
Then cost of the plow went from $1200 for my Western Pro to $3500 for my Boss Pro to now over $5,600 for that same plow . Cost of truck also from $4,500 to $32,000 , and his Dodge Diesel was over $60,000 but people still think if you charge then $40 to plow a drive your robbing them .  
 Just had to replace pump motor on mine - armature and field is over $200 - I took one from his extra plow for now until I get mine rebuilt
