As you can see shop doors pretty much face the south. Go to put doors down and they won't go down it took me about a week to figure out that the sun is hitting the sensors. Has anybody got south facing doors And has the same problem? Or just make this project number 527 and move the sensors up above the door and get them out of the way.

can you move the sensor back on the wall several more inches from the door ?  Get in the shade ?   I have an awning in front of the door to park outside.  Dont have that problem.  Son has his sensors above the door.. Never closed on anything yet.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

same thing happened to me...last year, fall, west facing doors....
I FINALLY put some cardboard tubes on the sensor bodies last year...that did the trick !! well until a storm came by, soaked the tubes, they got mushy, I toss them...time passes, this year...hmm, fall, west facing doors, arrrrgh  I KNOW I've been here before, deja vue but WHAT did I do ????? Now I'm thinking maybe a short length of black 'polypipe' will be a permanent solution......

Have 2south doors, never had a problem but would have to look at sensor position, were installed by door company.

Don't let insurance guy find that out, BAD JUJU!!  Find a spot a little further back from door edge, as noted shield the eye and the photo projector with a Dark NOT Shiny inside(SAND PAPER INSIDE) Tube, will be harder to aim but should work.

Have 5 doors facing south. None have that problem. The roll up door sensors set several inches inside door opening. The others, well I won't get into that judging by the comments I read earlier

I got two doors facing south and never had that problem.

Do you have room to move the sensors back farther from the door opening?
