was at a drag strip Sunday to watch a few grudge matches and time trials...saw an older GMC full sized diesel pickup go up to the start line...i saw it sitting back there and i thought it was the vehicle they use to push start some of the dragsters there. it stayed at the line then took off...the front end came off the ground about 2 foot and off it went real FAST! timer said it did 132 MPH! WHAT??? whew! and it didn't smoke. the old lady...oooooooooops....i mean the loving wife looked at me and asked me if mine would do that? uh...nope!

Say what,,,Shameless,,,,??? CHit ,,I used to have to drive my race cars to the drags,,,with some old "hand me down" slicks in the turtle. Get checked in and jack the car up, install the slicks and GO Racin,,,!!!One of my better cars was a 55 Chevy 2 door with a 389 Poncho with 3 twos and an "Hydro" and 513 gears,,,,Sure would make the Pontiac scream when I cleared the lights at almost 8 grand,,,,,,,WinkWink Nobody had n't invented the hi stall convertors yet so,,,,just get on the brakes with 1 1/2 feets ,,all the time catchin the gas pedal with the toes and hang on,,,,,,!!!!!!That Hydro didn't last the whole season, tho,,,,,LOL I guess it was fun but sure used to break lots of parts,,,,
