Yep.  Aftermarket.  Not worthy of 'rare' or 'vintage' pricing.
Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.

I saw one on a WD one time and was told it was for the mounted corn picker.

The 47WC I bought for a parts tractor had one. It also had a vee belt pulley, instead of the flat belt pulley, and was still belted to the unloading auger of an old corn dryer.
The V belt would have been used on a 33 picker to run the fans and the add on shifter, would make it nice for shutting off the noise when you weren't picking corn.

I've got one like that on my WD-45.  I don't consider it to be rare.
