Got a 1920 DA 1920 that is getting gas in the oil,, sat over winter and had some then - changed the oil last week ,cut 2 acres , set for a week and checked it tonight and it has some more in it,, any fixes for this ?

I would start by cleaning and checking the carburetor.  Fuel is probably getting past the needle valve and seat while sitting.  I have had the float get a hole in it before.  This allows fuel to enter float and the weight pulls it down, then it no longer floats.  This then keeps the needle valve open allowing fuel out of carb to flow out while not being burned.  The fuel that we get today has a tendency to gum up carburetors and I have seen it eat holes in floats.  To check, remove the float and shake it.  You may feel or hear fuel sloshing inside.  Just a side note:  close the center of carburetor by pulling choke or stuffing a rag down it.  You do not want to drop a screw or needle valve and have to tear it apart to get it back out.  Sometimes the end of needle deteriorates or rubber gets hard and won’t seal.  Check the end of needle.  The rubber should be pliable.  Hope this helps.  If you need a manual or parts diagram, you can look up by engine model and spec number on partstree or kohler website.

Could also be a defective fuel pump.

Cut a cheap 1/4 turn valve into the fuel line and shut off the fuel from the tank while not in use.
