I attended the Missouri Allis-Chalmers Club's annual A-C exclusive swap meet in Lathrop, MO this past Friday and Saturday.  The Lathrop Show Grounds is a nice place to hold the swap meet and Mother Nature cooperated nicely.  I enjoyed meeting everyone at the swap meet.  Got to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.  There must have been about 30 of us at The Stable restaurant in Kearney Friday night.  There were people from MO, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, West Virginia, Georgia, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arkansas, and Nebraska there. Did I miss anyone?  Thank you to everyone who worked hard to put the swap meet together and to the vendors who came from all over to help make the show a success.    Anyone else care to chime in?  Who sold what and who bought what?

Many thanks to all who attended, vended, etc.  The weather was very nice, a bit windy on Thursday and Saturday, but near perfect on Friday.  I sold quite a bit of stuff and was very pleased.  I talked to some who had an OK swap meet in terms of sales.  I'm guessing around 30 vendors, plus a few who came for a day or part of a day.  Some years are better in terms of sales, but we have vendors who come come every year from quite a distance and who tell me this is one of the best two sales events of the year.

That said, if anyone has any comments to improve it, please feel free to post your comments here, or pm if you would rather keep it confidential.  I'm always open to constructive criticism.

Again thanks to all those who made the 9th annual exclusive swap meet a good event. We hope to see you at Boonville, MO next March 5-6, 2021 for the 10th Annual.
The 14th Annual Exclusive AC Swap Meet will be held in Boonville, MO, March 7-8, 2025. See the club website for details: http://www.moacclub.com/

I bought quite a bit of stuff and I didn't even go.  It's a bad time of year for me, but I'm planning on being there next year, just because it's the 10th Anniversary.
I've gotta head North and South to meet people who sold to me and also picked up stuff for me from others.  I don't remember who it was that suggested and started the Allis Express, but THANK YOU.  It's still working overtime.  THANKS to ALL the guys and gals that make it up also.  Without you, it wouldn't work.
One BIG happy (pretty much if you stay out of the politics section) FAMILY.  I've met SO many people that I otherwise would never see.  It's been an honor!

I sold an 11 x 7 grain drill hopper. It was my first time there. Lots of folks with leads and knowledge. If you choose not to go, you really missed out.

I went to Lathrop . Met some great people as always. Sold my parts D-19 and bought a lot of stuff. The " war department " ( aka WIFE ) would say some of what I bought was junk. Looking forward for the next one.

Some go to buy, some go to sell. A lot of us do a little of both. I sold more than I bought which was my plan. Next year, who knows.

Nope Anthony, you've got it exactly right.  That's the way I do it.  Heck, like I said, that's the way to do it even IF YOU DON'T GO.....LOL
