There is a L3 pictured on a sale bill on an upcoming sale in Ohio. The top of the cab says CORN PAC. What does the PAC represent? It, got orange drive wheels if it matters. Thanks

I was told it was the series 3 version of the series 2 “Corn Plus” combines, the PAC being an acronym for “Performance And Capacity”.

The Gleaner price book was an erector set for ordering a combine. First one selected either a Grain machine or a Corn Soybean or a Rice machine - then the accessories , tires axles, chopper, spreader, slip clutches, std or hydro drive, unloader and on and on.
This drove the procurement people nuts. The idea cam along to take the most popular options , order one number and get a complete combine and a discount for doing so. Then the assembly line had a run of common parts ordered in quantity for a build run. This the Corn Plus, Corn Pac and other editions.

Ok, so was the earlier Corn Soybean Special the same thing or were they a different package?

We did not get many of the Pac's and Plus's = we could not sell the tire sizes. The Pac and plus were just another option in the book concurrently .

Tim, what were the differences in the Plus and PAC, since they were offered concurrently?

Tbran mentioned tires, this unit has 800-65R32 drives and 15-16.1 diamond tread steers. Are these a common size for an L3 ?

My L2 CORN PLUS came with 23.1x34 tires. There were lots of corn plus machines here. In fact I believe most F2/M2/L2 combines around my area that I ever seen are CORN PLUS. I don't think CORN PLUS was offered concurrently with CORN PAC. I think CORN PAC replaced CORN PLUS when the F3/M3/L3 came out...... which was later replaced by symbols on the left front of the bin (and maybe a number?) on the green stripe models. Do I have this right?

The unit is located in Ohio (Oregon) but I can't zoom in on the dealer sticker on the left/front cab corner. Was this the "factory" authorized placement of the dealers decal, our F2 dealer tag is in the EXACT same place LOL!!
