what you guys got for an engine heater on your tractor. been using 300w magnetic heater on my oil pan along with a battery tender. broke heater last time out and could only get an overpriced ($50) 200w to replace. see new 300 about $70. just wonderin.

Trace, I dont have any heaters on my tractors. Generally they will start even in very cold weather. Do you have yours changed over to 12 volt? Regards, Chris

Kats universal tank heater plumb from the block drain by the carb to the heater between the frame and block behind the alternator up to a t fitting in the bypass hose. Works very well the heater I let must be below the block drain for it to work properly it'll heat the block in an hour at -20 f. I have used a magnetic in the past just stuck to the block sorta behind the carb they need a flat place to attach so they can transfer heat if not on a perfectly flat location they'll overheat and burn up. The bottom of a 454 oil pan is perfectly flat and a magnetic heater works good there.

Propane Torpedo heater! Only when it's real cold like way below zero. All of my tractors and skid loader have in the block electric element heaters. I did have a Kat's lower radiator hose heater on my 170 that I used to feed cows on the mixer wagon. Worked real well in cold weather.
