Usually this time of year if we get moisture it is in the form of snow.  Haven't had much since the big snow before Thanksgiving, piles of it is still melting.  Hopefully we will get more moisture in Feb and March.

Not sure if your state sees any type of "winter", meaning freeze/thaw cycles that aid in soil conditioning, but "here" we don't even have frost in the ground and normally have a minimum of 12-15 inches by now. The local lakes only have a skim of ice-if any, normally 4-8 inches Confused

Right at 3/4" here, SW of Fort Worth.
From 70 as storms came through, dropped to 30 overnight.
Really kicked the winter wheat/rye/oats into gear as it needed a drink badly.
Winds were bad but we dodged a bullet here near the lake.

Hey Phil, that is pretty neat, -40 is the same for Celsius or Fahrenheit.  Don't have to ask.  You can have it EITHER way.....

Luckily so far this winter we haven't had much snow or rain.  I'm so sick of water......there's places at the farm where I haven't been able to get to in over two years now.  There's 2' of standing water and it's going nowhere.

Today was only -2 with a windchill of -22 this morning.  So I'm guessing you opened that door a little...SO.........now it's gonna warm up and guess what,,,,,,,,,SNOW!!
Purdy white,,,,,,,,,,,thanks Shameless!!  I'm gonna tell the chiropractor that YOU caused my back ache.  He'll send YOU the bill.  hehehe
