I just picked up a 39 B and it has 6 bolt 15 inch rims on it and the bolts go all the way through and they have a  nut and lock washer on them.  They also put one castle nut on each rim.  Never seen this before.  I thought the 39 B's had the rim welded to the wheel center.  Anybody have any ideas.

I think they where riveted on and I’ve seen where people grind the rivers off and put through bolts so they can take on and off like a new rim

I believe that type of hub was on the prototype B tractors under serial #101.  Who knows how much swapping of parts has gone on throughout the years.  When I worked a Ford dealer in high school we were always working on 928N tractors. Tractor jockeys would bolt things together in in matter they could to get a running tractor that an unknowing yuppie would buy.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

I've been told both rivet on rims and bolt on rims are correct for 39 that the switch was made some time during the year.    My 39 s/n 26240 had rivet on rims.   On a slightly different subject I have seen where the threads in the hub were stripped and some one used nuts on longer bolts on the back side of the hub to hold the rims on.
