I have a 720 with loader. Twice now the steering wheel slips on the steering shaft. I'm beginning to think it should have power steering. Anyone have power steering on their 720? Was it available on the 720 ?

Power steering was not an option. When I have my snowthrower on I never turn the wheel unless I am moving for that very reason. It weighs around 350 lbs. Do a search for 720 power steering, it seams like someone on here has done one. If I remember correctly some sheet metal in the hood had to be removed.

Mike Noonan who is a regular on here and knows a lot about the 720's has a friend of his by the name of Steve Brown. I believe Steve came up with a pretty slick power steering setup for the 616-720 machines.  From what I understand he's done quite a few changeovers and the systems work great. I have a number here, that I'm not sure if its still good yet, but maybe Mike will see your post and direct you to where you have to go.
Here's the number I have for Steve Brown- 608-513-7763  HTH

Thanks Steve,
The 2 best ways to ad power steering I think is to use a GM 605 unit. It will need modifications to the tractor but seems to work great. The second type would be to use an orbital valve and remote cylinder from a JD 318 or Simplicity Sunstar type tractor. I have used a Vega power steering unit but am not satisfied with it when loader bucket has a full load. There are no doubt other options as well.
