for 1st gear 3.5 mph pulling.  Stock engine .   pulling weights 3000 3500 4000.  I'm getting the most out of my 13-6  24s in both 1st and second gear on most tracks.  have to reduce revs in second gear to keep from blowing the horn and going to the Dairy Queen

If your not powering out, in 1st, try 14.9x24.

Even A stock CA won't run out of power in GRAMPA gear with 14.9X24. A 14.9x28 maybe. 
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
