I found this part in a misc. box of L & G items. It says:

   Kohler package,   KKK,   Paw-0480
   Stator.

It is a stator for K-Series Kohler single cylinder engines with I believe the 3 amp unregulated charging system. Most used a stator that was a "full round" and was more around 15 amps and had a separate voltage regulator. Some of the AC 700 Series used this smaller 3 amp stator. Due to the lower output it did not require a regulator. Thats what my 1977 model 710 had. This was designed only to give enough output for a lighting circuit but not enough for an electric PTO.

Take another look at the AC number on the box. Could it possibly be 72068249 ?
