I used my new to me 5020 to prep the soil to reseed a small pasture lot. The disc is the same eight foot disc my Dad bought in 1949 to pull with his Allis C. That was also the first field work I did at age eight driving the C pulling that disc.
I cut it up over a week ago before three days of light rain. The old roots has started to grow. I ran over the seed and fertilizer with the disc set only two notches in. Almost straight. I cut up the old pasture to seed and fertilize and seed. I then run over the lot twice with the disc and packer as seen in the picture. The second picture is of the lot done. More rain the next few days and with warmer weather I am hopping for a good catch. Edited by Dick L - 25 Apr 2019 at 8:11am |

Looks good , thanks for the pics ! I just fired up my 5020 last weekend , luv that little tractor but always think that John Deere had 2 cylinders for so long , then came the 3010, and Allis brought out 2 cylinder in the early 80,s kinda backwards but it worked !
