Got a 2005 Saturn Vue and having front brake issues , heres what happened, passenger side front brake caliper stuck one day so replaced the rubber brake line , it had a shimmy when applying the brakes after , and they were wore down so replaced the front brake pads and rotors on both sides, also replaced the wheel bearing assemble as it had a little play too, caliper / brake come on ,relubed the sliding pins ran good for a few weeks and done it again , put a new caliper on it , now it drives great but sometimes out of the blue its like the passenger side brake comes on with a grinding noise then stops after a bit, no ABS light comes on , im stummped !

I had a car do that before and ended up replacing the proportioning valve. Your mileage may vary.

Does it sound like the ABS pump is coming on when you say a 'grinding noise'?

could be a slug of air in the other side brake line.
It took me 6 tries to get AIR the air outta the forklift brakes and that only has 3' of tubing ! A slight bend was allowing the bubble to go back and forth...
sigh.

You changed the hoses and calipers did you use a tech 2 and bleed the brakes if not your ABS module probably has air in it. It wont cause the ABS light to come on but you wont get a good bleed without comanding bleed mode in the ABS
