The 8050 my brother and I are rebuilding is used for summer work only. Can I plug the water pump hoses (rubber heater hoses) it would clean up the engine and since i dont need the heater I'd like to do this unless there is another purpose. Kind of a preventative deal i guess.

We've removed the heater hoses on several of our 80xx tractors without any issues. Don't need the heaters and don't have to worry about a leaking hose or partially opened valve when it's 95 degrees.

Wouldn’t it be simpler to just splice in a 1/4 turn valve. |

We put a ball valve on both our 8000s where the hose fastens to the engine, close it for summer use but nice to have it in winter.

Both the 8050 and the 8070 are used for hay production. I use a 9030 in the winter. It ain't orange but it gets the job done. We also have a 7000 that we use all summer. I'll probably be selling a 966 international to buy another 7000 series. Easier with the same brand and I like the cabs better
