Hey everyone. Didn't know what category to put this in so hopefully this is OK. I've got an allis trail 5 mini bike that I've been working on. It has the original tecumseh engine. I've had to put a new carb, exhaust, throttle assembly, brake handle and cable and brake band. I still need to get a new seat and rebuild the jack shaft. I'm looking at parting ways with it when done just curious as what value these carry as this is the only one I've seen for sale. It is missing the factory clutch cover and the rear wheel has a homemade fix to the spokes so condition is good but not great.

Sounds like John may want to get a really good deal from you!
As for the value, maybe it's worth a lot more then what you have in it, but if it's like most tractors, it's not worth the time AND parts!

My guess is the only real gain will be experience and satisfaction of a job complete but then when it comes to minibikes...... what do I know

I'm not doing a full restoration, I prefer to see it as original as possible. I'm doing enough to make it look decent and be rideable. So hopefully it is worth at least what I've got into it. I bought it just to save it from going to scrap or being chopped up into something else

I'd start it at an inviting bid,, 500 advertising it on all other sites and see what happens, can always put a minimum no sell bid on it, those are hard to come by!

Firstly tomNE I do not have any 7000 series tractors. We have had them in the family but I've never personally owned one (unfortunately).

Secondly I just wanted to update everyone on the mini bike. I am currently waiting to get a new seat made and will be getting the jack shaft rebuilt as its awfully cobbled together right now. Once these two items have been done I'll be posting it to ebay. I would love to deal straight with each of you but I've had a huge amount of interest in this little thing and feel an unreserved auction will be the fairest way to let it go.

I will be posting a link here (if I can figure it out) as well as on some of the Allis Facebook pages. I can also send each of you that sent me a personal message about it a notification that it is listed.

I appreciate all the intrest in the bike and hope someone with the Allis bug gets to take it home 😉

Very nice! Better buy at starting price than Chinese crap bikes for sale everywhere.

Just a reminder to anyone interested, the bidding on the Allis Mini Bike ends tomorrow afternoon and it's no reserve so bid to win! Don't miss out on a chance at a fairly rare little collectors item!

I am happy with the results this far. This in my opinion (maybe not everyone's) was the most fair way to go about selling it. Now it can go to whomever wants it the most, not to mention reach a far broader range of parties.
